Test Preparation for SAT

About SAT

SAT stands for Scholastic Assessment Test and is required to be taken by students applying to undergraduate schools in the USA.


SAT test has been designed and developed to test the mathematical, writing, and reading skills of aspirants and their potential to match the academic requirements of assessing universities.


SAT test is conducted by the College Board and is used by over 4000 education institutions primarily in the USA and some other leading destinations.

SAT Exam Structure

Exam pattern

1. Reading and Writing (64 minutes) : 1st Module - 25 Operational questions and 2 retest questions Time Allotted – 32 minutes | 2nd Module - 25 Operational questions and 2 pretest questions Time Allotted - 32 minutes Total Marks – 800

2. Mathematics (70 minutes) : 1st Module - 20 Operational questions and 2 pretest questions Time Allotted - 35 minutes 2nd Module - 20 Operational questions and 2 pretest questions Time Allotted - 35 minutes Total Marks – 800


Total Scores : SAT test scores are out of 1600

Total Time : 2 hours 14 mins (Digital)

Free Score Reporting : There is a provision of reporting your SAT test scores to a maximum of four universities of your choice until 9 days after the test, the cost of which is built into the SAT test fee you pay

Test Preparation for SAT

You can register for the SAT test by logging into https://www.collegeboard.org/ the official site of SAT. 


Please refer to deadlines that are mentioned on the below URL. We recommend that you book your Digital SAT exam slots as early as possible. https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register/international 


You can pay for Digital SAT test fees by using your credit card/debit card with the international payment facility. 


While booking your test slot on https://www.collegeboard.org/, a list of cities along with test centres will be displayed. You can choose the city and the centre based on your convenience. 


SAT test dates can be rescheduled at a cost of $30 per reschedule. There is set deadline for rescheduling SAT test date usually 5 days prior original test date. 


If you're absent on the test day, you'll have to reschedule if you want to take the test again. A change fee is applicable. You don't have to notify of your absence; we won't send any score reports for that day. If you change your test date after the deadline on your Admission Ticket, a change fee applies. 


With the new digital SAT, the scores will be out within days rather than weeks, reducing the overall waiting time. 


Please carry a valid passport or an Aadhar Card, driver’s license and an appointment confirmation letter that you will receive while registering for the exam.
