Test Preparation for GMAT

About IELTS

The GMAT exam is a computer adaptive, business school entrance test that is designed to test skills that are most fitting for business school aspirants.


The GMAT exam is used to assess skills such as analytical writing, problem-solving skills, critical reasoning skills, logic and data sufficiency that are relevant to business programs.


GMAT is administered by GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) and is used by over 2000 universities in over 100 countries and is tested over 600 centres world over.

GMAT Exam Structure

Exam pattern

1. Analytical Writing Assessment (30 minutes) : 1 Argument essay to measure critical thinking and communication skills 

2. Integrated Reasoning (30 minutes) : 12 Questions to analyze data and interpret information presented in varied formats

3. Quantitative Section (62 minutes) : 31 Questions to measure your ability to analyze data and use reasoning skills to draw conclusions

4. Verbal Section (65 minutes) : 36 Questions to measures your ability to read and understand written material, evaluate arguments and correct written material to conform to standard written English


Total Scores : GMAT Exam scores are out of 800

Total Time : 3 hours, 7 minutes

Frequency of Tests : 5 times within a 12-month period, but cannot apply more than once in any 16-day period

Score Validity : 5 Years

Free Score Reporting : There is a provision of reporting your GMAT test scores to a maximum of five universities of your choice, the cost of which is built into the GMAT exam fee you pay.

Additional Test Score Reporting Fees : US $35

GMAT EXAM Preparation

You can register for the GMAT test by logging into https://www.mba.com/, the official site of GMAT. 


You should book your exam date 15 days in advance from your intended test date. 


You can pay for GMAT test fees by using your credit card/debit card with an international payment facility. 


You can refer to the below-mentioned link to find your nearest or most convenient test center to appear for GMAT test. https://www.mba.com/exams/gmat/before-the-exam/register-for-the-gmat-exam/find-a-test-center 


You can reschedule your exams online before 60 days of the scheduled date by paying a $50 fee. To reschedule the exam within the 15-60 days before the exam date there will be a charge of $100. To reschedule the exam within the 14 days before the exam date there will be a charge of $150. 


You should book your exam date 15 days in advance from your intended test date. We recommend booking a test date that should allow you 1-2 weeks of self-preparation and practice after your IELTS coaching is over. 


If a registered candidate fails to appear for his test, he is deemed an absentee and a refund will not be applicable. 


The scores are available within 20 days after the test date, which are shared with you on your registered email address. 


Please carry a valid passport and the appointment confirmation letter that you will receive while registering for the exam.
